Sequel to Robert Cormier’s magnum opus The Chocolate War, this novel picks up when the school year is at an end, and although the chocolate sale is a few months past, no one can forget it at Trinity School. Commander of the secret school organization called the Virgils, Archie Costello still has some cruel assignments to dole out before his graduation. But Archie is troubled that his right hand, Obie, seems to be drifting away from the Virgils. His stooges would ordinarily fix that, but Obie has a surprise in store for Archie. It’s time for the boys who have suffered at the hand of the Virgils to get their revenge.
